As of now, the website is finished reconstructing. You might notice that it looks incredibly similar to the old website, but that was the intent. The purpose in rewriting the website was to make it easier to update, because as you may know, our previous webmaster was Qi Chen who is, with aldo respect, crazy. I'm pretty sure Qi even invented his own programming language. That's too much for someone just now figuring out web design to understand. And so, I reprogrammed the entire website, aiming to keep it to only two, maybe three languages.
The information on the other pages should be updated now, but if it's not, that will happen soon. We should be able to start doing meeting summaries to keep this up to date. However, one of the key features of the old website, the members carousel, is not here yet. Understand that this would be difficult to program while trying to keep it simple. For now, we will do without it, but if we can figure out a simple way to implement it, we will more than gladly put that back in.
On a final note, if you still want to check out the old website, you can follow this link

To all visitors to the website: Do not worry. smerobotics.com will not be blacking out to protest SOPA and PIPA. While we do not in the least condone such bills (or at least I, as webmaster, don't condone them), we believe that spreading the message of the FIRST Organization and the FIRST Robotics Competition is much more important. You see, once the internet does get shut down, people will need something else to do, and what better activity is there than to devote yourself to advancing science and technology. With this new free time, we can finally stop procrastinating and get those flying cars designed and built, or perhaps we can finally unlock the secrets of time travel. The possibilities will be endless!
The internet has become an integral part of everyday life in the modern world, and while we will all be sad once it is done for, we can fill that void with science. As such, smerobotics.com will be spending its (possibly) final days in existence to spread the word of the FIRST Organization, a project by the wonderful man, Dean Kamen, to garner worldly interest in science and technology. May the internet-less future hold endless possibilities!

If you have checked the website recently, you'll notice that the website was having problems. But hopefully, if you are seeing this message, that means the website is fixed. Yaaaay. Just to keep you updated, Sargon Robotics has had its first few meetings and we are currently deciding on a strategy for the competition as well as basic designs for how we do that. Keep posted and hopefully within the week, the website will be fully functional AND up to date.
